Ten more songs you need to hear! Black Eyed Peas - Street Livin'
Though I'm not usually a fan of songs full of explicit language this new song from the BEP returns them to their original sound with a strong rhythm of rap and rhyming and an important message. (7/10) Franz Ferdinand - Feel The Love Go
The DNA of Franz Ferdinand practically flows through this track which doesn't really forget its own identity but will please the fans. (6/10) Kylie Minogue - Dancing
Mixing up her club-sound with a country tinge this is actually a very strong comeback with a great foot-tapping rhythm and catchy chorus. Great. (7.5/10) Liam Payne and Rita Ora - For You
It's that time of year when we can't escape the questionable latest entry in the film franchise but the songs are usually worth a listen, and this radio-friendly entry is no exception. (7/10) Nine Dart Finish - Kicking & Screaming
'Kicking and Screaming' is a gentle indie track that constantly suggests it will burst into Linkin Park-esque pent up anger which never comes; instead we get a pleasing guitar-led tune with a strong vibe. (6.5/10) Sam Gleaves & Tyler Hughes - When We Love
A traditional sounding country song with a strong and heartfelt central message. Beautiful. (7/10) The Tailormade - Mr Perfect With a jaunty guitar riff and sixties-sounding vibe this is a great upbeat little retro-pop number with a catchy and quickly singable chorus. A joy, and any song that includes the words 'rotten blokes' is a winner in our books. (7/10) Tea F't Lizard X - We Met At A Party 'We Met At A Party' is a cool, laid back number that moves with a retro-sounding swagger towards its jazzy chorus. Cool and collected. (6/10) Tom Grennan - Sober
Arguably his best song yet this is a bouncy, catchy little number with a chorus that quickly sticks in your mind, plus the production works well alongside. (7/10) Vance Joy - We're Going Home
A song that builds with each listen, this feels like a song that could soon become pretty anthemic. It lacks the unique footprint of 'Riptide' but its clap-a-long positivity and brass-led moments will make you smile. (7/10)
Ten more tracks that you need to hear! All Time Low - Good Times
With a tempo and feel that sounds more like the band's name than the title, this is a well written emotive soft-rock ballad that has echoes of other hits by the band, especially in its multi-layered vocal chants. (6/10) Andy Brownfeat. Crissie Rhodes - Landslide
With one half of the Shires on guest vocals this is a pretty straight-forward country track, not really doing anything particularly distinctive, but if you like your country-pop upbeat and happy then this is a great little number. (7/10) Jake Bugg feat. Noah Cyrus - Waiting
There's a bit of a Christmas feel to this gentle duet which tones down Bugg's usually quite nasal vocals into something much smoother and sweeter, well produced over a simple jazzy backing. (7/10) Katie Melua - Fields Of Gold
Katie Melua is one of those artists that could sing the phone book and you'd probably want to listen to it. The official Children in Need single, this is a stripped back and simple cover but that allows you the opportunity to focus on the lyrics and the beautiful delivery. (7/10) Kesha - Learn To Let Go
'Learn to Let Go' is another uptempo, uplifting and very personal single from Kesha, all elements coming together into a fun and funky pop song. (6.5/10) Pete Tong feat. Becky Hill - Sing It Back
Pete Tong returns with his second stringed-up compilation and though Hill doesn't quite have the same distinctive vocals as Moloko and the mid-riff is reminsicent of Bronski Beat, there's enough variety and twists in here to work. (6/10) P!nk - Halfway Gone
P!nk is always good value in getting a good song and this gritty, soft-rock entry throws her gruff vocals and heartfelt-lyrics right bang in centre stage where they should be. Great. (7/10) Pioneers - Take Time
With subtle hints of punk in its production this is a bouncy upbeat pop number that will get you moving. (6.5/10) Vance Joy - Like Gold
Though lacking the uptempo joy from his best songs like 'Riptide' this slower number still boasts a great little beat and a catchy lyrical delivery. A grower. (6.5/10) Wild Beasts - Punk Drunk And Trembling
With hints of electronica in its laid back mid-tempo indie-styled number, this is a smooth and involving listen that shifts along nicely in a cool vibe. (6/10)
Ten more songs you need to hear! Bonnie Li - Mallory
With a very listenable voice and a song with intriguing production, this is a delightful refreshing listen. (6.5/10) Capital Cities - Drop Everything
Having released some great songs over their short career, this is perhaps not as explosive as those singles but it's still got a delightful rhythm, witty lyrics and an optimistic feel. (7/10) Chris Simmons - Gold Dust 'Gold Dust' is a delightfully gentle and touching little track with some silky smooth production, creating a relaxing and heartfelt atmosphere. (6.5/10) Coldplay & Big Sean - Miracles
Though their sound hasn't changed hugely, Coldplay are certainly branching out recently with their collaborations to do something a bit different, so although this isn't hugely revolutionary or as hooky as their big hits has moments of interest. (6/10) Fjokra - Bang On The Door After the great 'Sick Kids' Fjokra return with another quirky and catchy song that mixes up dual vocals, style shifts and didgeridoo with sitar, creating an eccentric but memorable number. (7.5/10) The Ghibertins - The Less I Know The Better
We really loved their last single, but this is even better from the great didgeridoo opening to the downbeat but yet quickly catchy chorus, and some well written lyrics. (7.5/10) OneRepublic and Seeb - Rich Love
It might be a bit bland and formulaic compared to OneRepublic at their non-dancey best but it's got enough of a summer-friendly vibe to hold things together. (6.5/10) Ooberfuse - Why Oh Why Electro-swing is one of the genres that is really growing on me, and here we have a classic example. Having seen Ooberfuse live a couple of years ago it's great to hear them back, and this catchy, radio-friendly quirky little number is their best song yet! (7.5/10) Reverend and the Makers - Juliet Knows
Quite different for a song by them as it doesn't have Jon McClure on lead vocals, this is a nice and gentle stripped back tune with a warming, summery feel. Nice. (6.5/10) Vance Joy - Lay It On Me
Vance Joy has always been on my radar thanks to its stonking breakthrough track 'Riptide' and though is a quieter number than that it has enough fun in its brassy breakdown and heart in its lyrics and delivery to raise a smile. (6.5/10)
