I managed to see Glackin live three years ago, playing this song, so it's nice to see him bringing music out. This is a bouncy, folk-tinged number with a foot-tapping beat and optimistic sunny vibe! (7/10) Galaxy Thief - For A Bad Time With shades of pop-punk and Blink 182 in their sound, 'For A Bad Time' is a simple and raw number with hints of ska and a determined drum beat. With an 'Oh Wonder' vibe this gentle electro-style number showcases a powerful voice over some surprisingly memorable moments. (6.5/10) Klez - Ain't Nobody's Fool
'Ain't Nobody's Fool' is a catchy, soulful little single with a strong 70s vibe that brings the funk back into the 21st Century, plus its big and bold breakdown cements my love for it. (7/10) Mary Byrne - I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself This cover of the classic Dusty Springfield song doesn't do anything remarkable or different with the production, arrangement and style but Byrne's powerful voice and the crisp modern production make for a refreshed version of the familiar song. (6.5/10) Reverend and the Makers - Auld Reekie Blues
The first of the new 'Reverend and the Makers'-sound singles I've enjoyed, this is a cool, hippy piece with a smooth, post-summer vibe. I'm still a bigger fan of their older indie vibes but this is an interesting and refreshing change in style and it works. (6/10) Steve Rodgers - Head Up High
Even better than his last single, 'Head Up High' is a warm, upbeat pop-rock song with a really optimistic vibe and a strong radio-friendly sound from its catchy chorus to its clap-along a capella ending. (6.5/10) Tally Spear - Days Like These
'Days Like These' is a gorgeous little pop-country song with a perky pace with Spear's loveable vocals complimenting the vibe perfectly, with the harmonica section adding some extra vibes to the production. Delightful. (7/10)
Let's have another ten songs you need to hear! Fall Out Boy - The Last Of The Real Ones
'Fall Out Boy' continue to release some great singles with great beats and catchy rhythms, and this is another strong one. (7/10) FELIN - 21st Century '21st Century' is a punky number with hints of the Ting Tings at the time of their first album, but with much more bite. Catchy and interesting, this is a cool little indie hit. (7/10)
Flora Cash - Roses On Your Dress
'Roses On Your Dress' is a beautifully sung and flowing ballad held up by Cash's very listenable and emotional voice, with the simple production escalating well, with the Enigma-like breakdown adding to the relaxing and touching feel. (7/10) Hailee Steinfeld & Alesso (feat. Florida Georgia Line & watt) - Let Me Go
A little bit clubbier in production than I was expecting from Steinfeld, but this collaboration of four artists works well, giving a bit more bite to their regular country sound with a powerful chorus. (7/10) Hermitage Green - Lions Share With a dark swagger in its verse leading into a more positive and faster bridge and chorus this is a building indie number that stands out as a great Kasabian meets Kings of Leon style number with strong production values and interesting use of instrumentation. (7/10)
Iffy Orbit - Not Good Enough 'Not Good Enough' is a smooth and gentle downbeat slice of electronic-indie with a chilled out vibe that compliments the introspective lyrics. (6.5/10)
Jordan Klassen - Housefly
'Housefly' is a delightfully classical sounding stripped back number with Klassen's ethereal and gentle vocals complimenting the string sounds beautifully. (7/10) Kelly Clarkson - Love So Soft
Quite different from what you'd expect from Clarkson this rnb-enfused number gives a bit of polish and variety to her usual sound. Nice. (7/10) The Moods - P.O.P (Profit Over People)
One of my favourite songs around at the moment, this is a political-heavy tune but one that will get you dancing as well, it's mix of upbeat dance and fast-paced grime and RNB work really well together with hints of the LaFontaines. Brilliant. (8/10) Tom Dibb - Hit The Road
'Hit The Road' is a delightful little pop-country number with an ear-pleasing stripped back vibe and a positive, optimistic tone that will get the edges of your mouth curling into a smile. Plus it's very singable. (7/10)

'Burning Flame' is a delightfully sweet and gentle ballad with plenty of thoughtfulness in the lyrics. (6.5/10) Gabrielle Aplin - Waking Up Slow (Piano Version)
The original version is one of my favourite songs of 2017 but this stripped-back piano version is in many ways even more beautiful, thanks to the delightful lyrics and Aplin's accomplished vocals and piano. (8/10) Green Day - Too Dumb to Die
With a sound harking back to the classic Green Day sound this fun, pop-punk number will get you nodding along with its fast and uplifting rhythm. (6.5/10) Harry Styles - Two Ghosts
Slower and more sentimental than his last single, this is actually better, its stripped back and smooth delivery working really well. (7/10) Jaded - In the Morning
Mixing in suggestive lyrics with its punchy trumpets and club sounds this is a funky and fancy club tune. (7/10) London Grammar - Non Believer
'Non Believer' is another gentle and atmospheric track from London Grammar, with loveable lyrics that really resonate. (7/10) Stereophonics - Caught By The Wind
Thankfully far better than their awful album lead single this is a much perkier and welcome pop number that sounds much more like the Stereophonics we know and love. (7/10) St. Vincent - New York
I can't say I'm a huge fan of St. Vincent but I like the vibe and attitude of this song that builds up into a strong vibe with some rather pointed lyrics. (7/10) U2 - You’re The Best Thing About Me
It's taken quite a few spins for me to enjoy this song but it's a grower with a strong chorus, that proves to be quite radio friendly. (7/10)

We love a good upbeat country song and in 'American Slang' The Cadillac Three have nailed a foot-tapping perky number that will bring a smile to your stetson. (7/10) Ella Eyre feat. Ty Dolla $ign- Ego
Poppier than her previous material this is a catchy radio-friendly number that will hook you in with its happy chorus. (7/10) Halsey - Bad At Love
With a punky, pacey delivery this is a fun pop number with bite in its more ballsy chorus. (6.5/10) Hurts - Ready to Go
Hurts are one of those bands that can usually be relied upon to bring you some great tracks and the poppy 'Ready to Go' with a quickly catchy chorus is no slouch. Great! (7/10) Jamie Lawson - Can't See Straight
It might be familiar territory for fans of Jamie Lawson but when the music is as sweet and catchy as this it's hard not to be won over. And any song that includes the word 'discombobulation' is a winner with me. (7.5/10) Jazz Morley - Safe Place

Alma's best song so far, it's a mixed bag of styles and not all of them work, but there's enough in its three-and-a-half minutes to keep you entertained with a catchy chorus. (6.5/10) Embrace - The Finish Line
It doesn't really do much to combat Embrace's downbeat reputation but it's a touching, gentle ballad that hits the right spots. (6.5/10) Foo Fighters - The Sky Is A Neighborhood

'How It Feels To Lose' is a smooth indie-rock number boosted by Jansson's interesting vocals and the well produced guitar work. (6.5/10) Beth Ditto - We Could Run
A bit of a change in style for Beth Ditto on this power ballad that gives her big voice time to shine. It lacks perhaps a huge chorus but it has plenty of energy and some strong imagery in its lyrics. (7/10) Gregory Porter - Smile
It's not a particularly revolutionary cover of the Nat King Cole classic but it's a beautiful take on it, thanks to Porter's distinctive and delightful vocals. (7/10) Nick Jonas - Find You
Though the autotune is a little distracting this is a fun, flowing little track with a touching heart plus hints at something a little clubbier. (6/10) Nina Nesbitt - The Best You Had
Nina Nesbitt returns with another strong single, this time the slower and more story-led 'The Best You Had'. I prefer her more uptempo numbers like 'Chewing Gum' but this shift in style is welcome. (6.5/10) Rae Morris - Do It
A shift in direction for Morris' new single but she nails the new sound with a slow yet catchy vibe, delivered by her delightful vocals and a stripped back yet crisp production. (6.5/10) Sia - Rainbow

Another strong tear-jerker from Sam Smith that has echoes of his James Bond theme, pulling together touching lyrics with a soaring and building style. (7.5/10) Superfood - Unstoppable
The heavily compressed verses are perhaps a little weird but the bouncy, poppier chorus and similar elements scattered through the song makes up for it. (6/10)
